Battle of Auberoche
The Battle of Auberoche was fought on 21 October 1345 during the Gascon campaign of 1345 between an Anglo-Gascon force of 1,200 men under Henry, Earl of Derby, and a French army of 7,000 commanded by Louis of Poitiers. It was fought at the village of Auberoche near Périgueux in northern Aquitaine. At the time, Gascony was a territory of the English Crown and the "English" army included a large proportion of native Gascons. The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the French, who suffered very high casualties, with their leaders killed or captured.

The Battle of Patay, fought on 18 June 1429 during the Hundred Years' War, was the culmination of the Loire Campaign between the French and English in north-central France. In this engagement, the horsemen of the French vanguard inflicted heavy casualties on an English army; most of them sustained by the longbowmen as the English cavalry fled. In addition, all but one of the senior English comm...

I live 5 miles from Bosworth and the local Geography is nothing like that displayed in this video…it’s flat land with no prominent hills and definitely no valleys!…so this scenario would never had taken place…nice try though!…

This would make a lot more sense if you mentioned the battle of Fulford, two miles south of York that took place a few days before. This explains why the viking army was split up and their armour was in their ships at Riccall. Three battles in a very short space of time , that had the weather been different could have taken place in a different order, with vastly different outcomes.

my ancestor through the male line, sir John ll de Lynyen served in this battle and the campaign, and even served until the army of lancaster returned home. he was also a felon (his wife supposedly did something illegal and he housed her apparently not knowing), and he would’ve been in prison and lost all his land, but henry grosmont himself personally testified in court of John’s good service in gascony that henry witnessed, and John was given a royal pardon with his house and allowed to return free man

The real cause of the Hundred Years War was the French attempt to conquer England, in concert with their Scots jackals. Edward only declared his claim to the French throne after the war started.

So an idiot king, Henry, claims half of France. The French say F off. So Henry forces English men to go to war. They have to go as they are surfs. Thousands and thousands die of starvation, disease and in battle. Months later Henry returns to England with nothing. Thousands of English families are condemned to poverty with out their bread winner. Henry returns to his castle. And we are supposed to think well of this?

The more I learn about the lady of Orleans, the more I’m coming to figure out, she was far more than a figure head who just waved a flag to inspire troops. She seemed to know strategy and well versed in battle. It’s taken a while, but putting the pieces together, she was the hero that France didn’t deserve, considering what they did to her after…
